The Flighty Bird

Original hand-cut, painted, and layered paper artwork of a woman with an escaped, flighty bird. This piece is a cut paper interpretation of Georges Barbier's 1914 illustration "L'Oiseau Volage."

All product photos are taken in natural lighting to emphasize the color of the paper in the artwork. Glare, shadows, and reflections on glass are normal and expected in photos taken in natural light.

All cut paper work is made by hand and is one-of-a-kind unique. Some variations may occur between finished pieces. Time invested in drawing the image, selecting paper colors, hand-cutting each piece, assembling, and gluing: 90 hours.
