The Flammarion
Original hand-cut and layered paper artwork interpretation of the Flammarion engraving by an unknown artist that first appeared in the 1888 L’atmosphère: météorologie populaire by Camille Flammarion and was thought to be created in the 15th century.
All product photos are taken in natural lighting to emphasize the color of the paper in the artwork. Glare, shadows, and reflections on glass are normal and expected in photos taken in natural light.
8 x 10” | Custom framed in a black detailed frame under Art Glass (crystal clear, 70% UV resistant, and non reflective).
All cut paper work is made by hand and is one-of-a-kind unique. Time invested in drawing the image, selecting paper colors, hand-cutting each piece, assembling, and gluing: 70 hours.
